From New York to Hong Kong

An overseas adventure today, after recently arriving in Hong Kong. Tonight was a trip to “Main St. Deli” located at the Langham Hotel Hong Kong in Tsim Sha Tsui. This place was opened in 2001 and was the first New York inspired deli in Hong Kong, offering deli favourites such as Reuben sandwiches, pastrami on rye, hot corned beef, bagels, salads, sandwiches and burgers, burgers, burgers!!

There are plenty of burgers on the menu, and whilst the “Monster Beef Burger” was very tempting, I went for the “Barbeque Bacon Burger”, which came with sautéed mushrooms, lettuce, bacon, swiss cheese and hickory BBQ sauce. The patty on this 12oz monster was huge (there is also an 8oz option for the light hearted!), however felt it lacked a bit of taste. The cheese and BBQ sauce were really good, yet the bun was very crispy on the outside which made for a messy eating experience. Overall the burger was pretty good and definitely left me feeling full.

Fries on the side were delightful and reminiscent of McDonalds famous fries!!

Definitely worth making the effort to try it out for yourself.

What do people think of mushrooms on a burger?
